George Romano managed 10 years in the Crystal Lake & Lake in the Hills, Illinois leagues for players 15 to 19 years old. For 25 years he was a wealth of baseball knowledge and a great friend to me and the league. George passed away in February of 2024 and we will continue to honor him here with our weekly trivia contests going forward.

Final Trivia Answer: Harold Hill was the travelling grifter of the musical, “the Music Man” who attempts to swindle the residents of River City, IA with his fake degree in music from Gary, Indiana. All the while trying to woo Marian the Librarian and warning folks of Trouble with a capital “T” which rhymed with “P” and that stands for POOL. Well ex-Senator Al Bool was no special player but had a special name with a capital “B”.

Guessed Correctly Thank God by: Hunter via Kelli Pittman of the Orioles/Giants.

And on that musical note, will call it a day for this season. See you again in 2026!!!!
