#1 Summer wrap 75 rainouts will be the story of 2026, but we managed to make up all but seven, so not too bad. Hopefully we never get that unlucky again! #2 World Series Congrats to the Senators, Padres, and Braves on winning their respective championships!!! #3 Field updates/Batting Cages Field back in nice dry, dusty conditions. #4 Late Summer Ball Camp Off and running with our 31 participants and look forward to a combination of fun and learning over the next few weeks. #5 Cap/Jersey Sale Remaining caps and jerseys are now available at discount ($10 each). See me at the park, what ever I have sells for $40 to $65. #8 Field Prep Thanks to Coach Smith & Blake Cowan we are hoping to continue to maintain and improve the condition of the Optimist fields and will also use Barnhouse as part of the Summer & Fall season. #8 The Sounds of 2026 The Seniors head to new wave music of the 80’s, the Sunset to Depression era hits of the 30’s, and the Majors back to some of the earliest recorded music ever from 1900-1909. #9 Virdon Retro Fantasy League Getting ready to start another fantasy season in October.
