#1 Basically one full week left Outside chance we get in all of the regular season, but may hinge on weather Saturday. Either way, Series starts on the 16th. #2 World Series Remember all teams play in the World Series, the regular season serves as a 14-game tiebreaker in standings/seedings only. #3 Field updates/Batting Cages Cages at Optimist are back up and running thanks to new mid-week users. Hoping to have field back in good shape by late this week. #4 Late Summer Ball Camp New camp will focus on a variety of topics from a wide set of Metro coaches and include a little fun derby league with our retro equipment. Limited space, inquire at the park. #5 Cap/Jersey Sale Remaining caps and jerseys are now available at discount ($10 each). See me at the park, what ever I have sells for $40 to $65. #8 Field Prep Thanks to Coach Smith & Blake Cowan we are hoping to continue to maintain and improve the condition of the Optimist fields and will also use Barnhouse as part of the Summer & Fall season. #8 The Sounds of 2026 The Seniors head to new wave music of the 80’s, the Sunset to Depression era hits of the 30’s, and the Majors back to some of the earliest recorded music ever from 1900-1909. #9 Virdon Retro Fantasy League World Series time, see the VRFL pages for finish and think about owning a team next year!
