#1 Fall Update Finishing up over next week or so with three league finals over Halloween weekend. Thanks to all the players, parents, umps, and coaches for a great season thus far. #2 Winter Ball We will not be doing Winter ball this year but will have another camp like the one we did in August in March next year. #3 Field updates/Batting Cages Field back in nice dry, dusty conditions. #4 Registration 2027 Will be sending out info on Summer ball right around the first of the year including info on the new, optional camp in March. #5 Cap/Jersey Sale Remaining caps and jerseys are now available at discount ($10 each). See Rob at the field. #6 Leo Cloutier Contest Congrats to the Briggs brothers on winning again this year but also to all the other writers who really did a great job this season #7 Wood Bats for sale Still have a couple bats for sale. See me at the park, what ever I have sells for $40 to $65. #8 Field Prep Thanks to Coach Smith & Blake Cowan we are hoping to continue to maintain and improve the condition of the Optimist fields and will also use Barnhouse as part of the Summer & Fall season. #8 The Sounds of 2026 The Seniors head to new wave music of the 80’s, the Sunset to Depression era hits of the 30’s, and the Majors back to some of the earliest recorded music ever from 1900-1909. #9 Virdon Retro Fantasy League Season 11 is now underway nightly on the website. See the VRFL tabs to follow along and root for your favorite teams, owners, or players and maybe think about getting involved next year.
